We offer a variety of different services for a variety of different pets.

If you are looking for a service not listed here please don't hesitate to contact us as all pets are welcome here at Woof Whistles.

We can cater for nervous pets, reactive pets and pets with specific needs. Just let us know and we will try our best to cater for them and make their grooming experience a positive one.

Dog Grooms

We offer dog grooming for breeds of all shapes and sizes. Our full groom option is our most commonly used service. This includes a bath with shampoo and conditioner to cater to your dog's skin and coat type, gentle blow dry, sanitary clip and body styling to your request. Our groomers will do their best to meet your canine companion's needs and get them looking gorgeous! All of our canine grooms include nail clipping, ear cleaning and hygiene clip where necessary and finish with a spritz of fragrance.

De-shedding Dog Grooms

We offer dog grooming for double-coated, shedding dogs such as Border Collies, German Shepherds, Labradors, Pomeranians and many more (please ask if you are unsure of your dogs coat type). This session includes a bath, blast out of dead hair with a high velocity dryer, brush and comb all over and a scissor trim to request. We also offer a premium Furminator shampoo and conditioner which reduces future shedding, at an extra charge.

Handstrip Dog Grooms

We offer dog grooming for wire haired dogs, such as Border Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, wire- haired Dachunds and many more (please ask if you are unsure of your dogs coat type). This session involves removing the dead hairs from the coat to reveal the softer undercoat. We recommend hand stripping for wire-haired dogs as clipping the dead hairs does not remove them completely, which stunts new hair growth and can cause a dull and unhealthy-looking coat. Please be aware that hand stripping is a lengthy service so your dog must be physically able to manage this (usually lasting 2 hours 30 minutes)

Bath and Blow Dry for Dogs

We offer a bath and blow dry service for those dogs in need of a freshen-up, this may be for short-haired dogs or in-between your usual groom. This session includes a brush all over, a hygiene clip if necessary, a bath and gentle blow dry with a shampoo and conditioner to suit your dog and the removal of any small tangles.

Puppy Packages

We understand how overwhelming a grooming salon can be for young puppies. Here at Woof Whistles we promise to make the experience a positive one.

We offer our puppy package allowing your puppy to make discounted visits to the salon to be introduced to the grooming process in a slow and gentle way so it can be something they look forward to in their adult lives.

Session 1- Tidy fur by eyes and bottom, nails clipped and a brush

Session 2- Bath and blow dry and everything in session 1

Session 3- full puppy groom to your request

Cat Grooms

Here at Woof Whistles we understand that your feline friends deserve to be pampered too!

We offer a full range of cat grooming services including de-tangling and de-matting to remove any painful knots, de-shedding to remove dead fur, styling to your choice and cat-friendly baths to leave your furry friend smelling as beautiful as they look!

Small Animal Services

We also offer pet grooming for all small animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits.

These sessions are where we can help with anything from detangling and removing matted fur to hygiene washes and grooms as well as claw clipping. This session is especially popular with long-haired pets or older pets that struggle to keep themselves clean.

Dental care

Here at Woof Whistles, we understand the importance of dental care for all pets. We can help with toothbrushing using enzymatic toothpaste to remove plaque and leave your pet with fresh breath.

Our groomers are also qualified to offer the 'Emmi Pet' service. This has many benefits as the Emmi Pet is a specially designed electric toothbrush with no sound or vibrations, it vastly improves overall dental health by removing plaque and maintaining gum health to reduce the risk of gum disease and tooth decay in pets.

Nail Clipping

We offer nail clipping for all pets from your canine companions and feline friends to your small pets such as guinea pigs and rabbits.

Overgrown claws can be extremely painful and can cause joint issues for any pet so regular nail clipping is essential to avoid this.

Fleas

Woof Whistles is here for all of your pet's grooming needs, this means we cater for pets with fleas. We offer a flea shampoo, formulated with neem oil which is known for its strong scent. The shampoo is effective at repelling fleas and other biting insects. It is also popular for its ability to soothe irritated skin along with preventing further eggs from hatching. Please inform us in advance if your pet has fleas so that we can allow time to fully clean the salon before the next pet.

Please be aware that if fleas are found on your pet whilst with us an extra fee may be applicable.

Matted fur

Here at Woof Whistles, we will not judge you if your pet is matted or tangled, we would like to work with you to ensure your pet's fur is well maintained. We must comply with the Animal Welfare Act 2006 which requires pets to be treated in a humane way. If matting is too severe, brushing it out is not an option as it is a very painful process, and therefore the matted fur must be clipped off.

Please be aware that if your pet is found to be matted whilst with us we will remove the matted fur and an extra fee may be applicable.
